What we use
Our application uses a sign-in cookie and browser storage for accounts, progress and preferences. We have not added advertising pixels or third-party marketing analytics to the application. This page explains our current use; it is not a request to accept optional advertising tracking.
| Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
darbuka_session cookie | Keeps you signed in. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS. | Up to 30 days; cleared on logout. |
Local storage: darbuka-rhythm-checks-v1, darbuka-learning-v2, darbuka-score-progress | Guest score summaries, practice bookmarks and stroke-order progress. | Until you clear this site’s browser storage. |
Local storage: darbuka-display-v1, darbuka-pause-motion | Your display and animation preferences. | Until cleared. |
Session storage: darbuka-pending-check-v1 | Temporarily retries a failed account score save, including timing measurements. | Removed after successful save, or when the browser’s page session ends; some browsers restore sessions. |
Cloudflare and Stripe
Cloudflare may use security or authentication cookies when its protection or email-code sign-in features are used. Hosted Stripe Checkout and billing pages may use their own payment, fraud-prevention and preference technologies under Stripe’s cookie information. We do not control those providers’ browser storage.
Your controls
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking the session cookie prevents persistent sign-in. Clearing site data removes guest progress and preferences from that browser; it does not delete account progress held on our server, cancel a subscription or delete your account. Use My account for those actions. Microphone permission is a separate browser setting and can be revoked at any time.
If we introduce optional tracking, we will update these disclosures and introduce any choices or consent controls needed before enabling it. Read our Privacy policy or contact info@darbukastudio.com with questions.
